Today, on Thursday, October 5, 2017, held Fall Convocation which featured N.C A&T Hall of famer and Engineer Darryl Lugh.
This year’s Fall Convocation was not only memorable but very inspirational. Darryl Lugh, once a hard-hitting defensive back who helped lead A&T’s football team to the MEAC championship, and a first round NCAAA playoff win, gave a message that not only reached the current Aggies, but also included his fellow Alumni.
Darryl spoke on the representation of “Aggie Pride” and listed many principles and guidelines which Aggies must “DO” to attain that pride, and to be able to with proud confidence, carry the Aggie Legacy.
Darryl managed to be both loving and real with his message which he called “Aggie Love” and even used his own relatable experiences of being an Aggie striving for success.
Although Darryl Lugh was the celebrity guest for this year’s convocation, he wasn’t alone in stealing the show alone.
The program featured performances by the University’s band, the University Choir, and even a beautiful song which the audience assisted in singing called “Lift Every Voice” by James.
The convocation also recognized Aggie athletes and even the mayor of Greensboro Nancy Vaughan was present.
