The Real ID Act and how it affects You!

What is REAL ID?

Passed by Congress in 2005, the REAL ID Act enacted the 9/11 Commission’s recommendation that the Federal Government “set standards for the issuance of sources of identification, such as driver’s licenses.” The Act established minimum security standards for state-issued driver’s licenses and identification cards and prohibits Federal agencies from accepting for official purposes licenses and identification cards from states that do not meet these standards. States have made considerable progress in meeting this key recommendation of the 9/11 Commission and every state has a more secure driver’s license today than before the passage of the Act.

Real ID also requires states to share their databases of driver information with other states. The information-sharing provisions are a big reason why some privacy groups opposed the law, saying it would effectively be the equivalent of a national identification card.

The federal government can’t force state licensing agencies to change their practices to conform to Real ID standards. But it can stop those with state-issued IDs from using them to enter federal facilities, such as military bases, or to board commercial planes. The renewed push for compliance comes at a time when concerns about terrorism are again high due to recent bloody attacks in Paris and California.

The law was originally scheduled to go into effect in 2008 but was subject to repeated delays. In recent months, DHS has been telling states those delays are over and that the law will be implemented in 2016. However, any restrictions on air travel won’t go into place without at least 120 days’ notice, and no state has received such a notice yet. In several states, however, restrictions on entering federal buildings could kick in as early as January 10.

Do I need a passport for domestic air travel starting January 2016?

A: No.  DHS is in the process of scheduling plans for implementing REAL ID enforcement at airports.  DHS will ensure that the traveling public has ample notice (at least, 120 days) before any changes are made that might affect their travel planning.

Until enforcement at the airports begins, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will continue to accept state-issued driver’s licenses and identification cards from all states, as well other forms of acceptable identification listed on the TSA website.

Is REAL ID a national identification card?

No. REAL ID is not a national identification card. States and territories will continue to issue driver’s licenses and identification cards, and there is no Federal database of driver information. Each jurisdiction will issue its own unique license and maintain its own records.

According to recent DHS data, most states are either in compliance with Real ID or have made enough progress that DHS has granted them extensions until at least October.

However, nine states and several US territories are due to have their exemption expire on January 10, 2016. The states facing a January expiration are Alaska, California, Illinois, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, South Carolina, and Washington. Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands face the same deadline. Minnesota and American Samoa are already listed as non-compliant.

Those states facing the deadline shouldn’t be hopeful for a last-minute reprieve. Local and AP news reports say that DHS has already told officials in Missouri, IllinoisMinnesota, and Washington that their requests for additional extensions have been denied.

“As we continue the phased-in enforcement of the REAL ID Act, the consequences of continued noncompliance will grow with each milestone,” the department said in its letter to Missouri, reported last week by The Associated Press.

If I am flying with a minor, do they need identification?

The Transportation Security Administration does not require children under 18 to provide identification when traveling with a companion within the United States. The companion will need acceptable identification.

REAL ID does NOT apply to the following:

  • Entering Federal facilities that do not require a person to present identification
  • Voting or registering to vote
  • Applying for or receiving Federal benefits
  • Being licensed by a state to drive
  • Accessing Health or life preserving services (including hospitals and health clinics), law enforcement, or constitutionally protected activities (including a defendant’s access to court proceedings)
  • Participating in law enforcement proceedings or investigations

Update 12/30: On Dec. 30, a California DMV spokesperson informed Ars that state has also received an extension until October. Also, DHS updated the states’ statuses on December 29, showing that Alaska, New Jersey, and South Carolina have all received extensions until October. That leaves Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, and Washington as the five remaining states subject to enforcement.

In some states, the reason for lack of compliance isn’t incompetence or bungling, but active opposition. Missouri passed a law in 2009 forbidding state officials from implementing the law. The same year, Minnesota lawmakers not only barred implementation of Real ID but prohibited “preliminary measures like negotiations with federal officials related to the requirement,” according to a report in last week’s Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Some state lawmakers opposed Real ID because of privacy concerns, while others denounced the law as an “unfunded mandate” requiring states to change their licensing practices without providing any money to implement the changes.

Today’s New York Times reports that TSA is considering how to deal with a situation in which some state IDs become invalid for air travel.

“The federal government has quietly gone around and clubbed states into submission,” Minnesota State Senator Warren Limmer, who spearheaded the state’s 2009 opposition, told the Times. “That’s a pretty heavy club.”

Dear Santa, Not This Year!

Have you seen the flyer above?! Have you heard the call?! It was made 10/10/15 at the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March where the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan loudly shouted out for the world to hear

“Up With Jesus,  Down With Santa!”

Jeremiah 10
“Do not learn the ways of the nations
or be terrified by signs in the heavens,
though the nations are terrified by them.
For the practices of the peoples are worthless;
they cut a tree out of the forest,
and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
They adorn it with silver and gold;
they fasten it with hammer and nails
    so it will not totter.
Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
    their idols cannot speak;
they must be carried
    because they cannot walk.
Do not fear them;
    they can do no harm
nor can they do any good.”

Below is a copy from an article from where it gives us Ten good reasons why we should #BoyCottChristmas

“Then the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn for her because no one buys their cargo any longer…”                       —Revelation 18:11

“To the sellers of trees and trains and pins and pianos, we urge you to understand and to pledge with us that this Christmas shall come from our hearts and minds, not from our pocketbooks…”

—James Baldwin, urging support for a Christmas boycott

There are a million reasons for Blacks to flex their economic muscle to gain their own freedom, justice, and equality. On October 10th the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhanassembled one million people of all races and faiths who have declared to the world that they want Justice, Or Else! Min. Farrakhan called for a boycott of the lucrative Christmas industry as a first step in addressing the wanton murders of Blacks by the police forces of America, as well as the other injustices that have plagued our communities for generations. All those who are serious about showing the powers-that-be our resolve are looking forward to spending nothing from “Black Friday,” November 27th, to New Year’s 2016. We refuse to purchase Christmas gifts, trees, lights, decorations, and holiday cards or patronize any online retailer. What money we do spend will be in the way of honoring Jesus and strengthening our family bonds and in support of Black businesses for necessary goods and services.

Here are TEN good reasons to Boycott Christmas—now and forevermore.

  • Stop Feeding the Beast. The advent of the smart-phone has given us a clear picture of the true nature of America’s “law enforcers.” They have but one purpose—to protect the merchant class of capitalists as they fleece the rest of us. The police are not rogue: they are faithfully following a mission they were given back when they started out as “paddyrollers” during slavery—to keep Blacks from rising, by any means necessary. The Matthew 2:16 commandment, “Kill ALL boy babies,” is the job of the police, and their heightened supply of advanced military weaponry is intended for Black slaughter.

So far, in 2015, nearly 1,000 people have been killed by police. Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin, Freddie Gray, Tamir Rice, Eric Garner, and countless others will not be celebrating Christmas, but their killers will. When we boycott Christmas, we stop participating in our own oppression—we stop feeding the beast. This is great news for a people who are sick of wicked police policies, rotten schools, record Black unemployment, and Black incarceration rates. When they refuse to feed white supremacy, they feed Black progress and Black self-determination! Self-defense is a Biblical commandment (Exod. 22:2). It only makes good sense to weaken the enemy by withholding that which would strengthen him—cash money. Economic withdrawal is effectively a form of economic sanctions.

  • We must gain the attention of those who have contributed to our oppression, and send a clear, economic message that things have changed—we are not going to take it anymore. Black activism has never been easier. One not need throw a Molotov cocktail, or picket a store, lie down in a mall, or even join a protest organization—one merely has to NOT do something—namely, not spend. This dedicated REFUSAL to spend money within a system that depends on our spending—until that system plays fair—is the STRONGEST message that a capitalist system can possibly hear. Voting and suing do not bother the powers that be—that is their field, their court, their rules, their playbook. But they will move heaven and earth to keep your dollars flowing into their coffers—dollars that pay the police to murder our people in cold blood. When we choose to withhold our dollars, or to redirect them to a Black restaurant or Black insurance company, or to a Latino retailer or Native American bank or African cab company, the intransigent power structure must take notice. Before you know it, the boardrooms are buzzing, the politicians are summoned, and the police chiefs are given a new set of rules—the same rulebook used in white and Jewish neighborhoods. Our holiday shopping is key for retailers, with sales in November and December—a massive $620 billion—accounting for as much as 50 percent of annual revenue. Using the hashtag #NotOneDime, Black Lives Matter made deft use of social media and made headlines around the globe as they shut down whole malls on America’s busiest buying day—Black Friday. The result was devastating to a frail and impotent American economy teetering on the edge of collapse. Six million shoppers stayed home, and sales plummeted by 11% on that 4-day weekend alone. That added up to $7 billion in lost revenue, according to the National Retail Federation. THAT $7 billion sledgehammer is why Black Lives Matter is spoken of in the presidential debate. In effect, Black Lives Matter carried out Martin Luther King’s blueprint for forcing real change in the American system.

A Christmas boycott—from Grey Thursday (a.k.a. Thanksgiving) and Black Friday to New Year’s Day—can double, triple, quadruple those results, and bring the other troublemakers behind the politicians (the bankers, judges, C.E.O.s, and union officials) to the negotiating table. Flexing our economic muscle will change our current degraded reality.

  • Martin Luther King and Medgar Evers did it. This Generation has the opportunity to settle the Reverend Dr. King’s unfinished business. Both civil rights leaders used Christmas boycotts to press for Black justice. NAACP leader Medgar Evers led a successful boycott of 150 downtown stores in Jackson, Mississippi, in 1962. It was overwhelmingly effective and forced the white leaders to take the NAACP’s demands seriously. On his last day on earth Dr. Martin Luther King asked us to practice “economic withdrawal” as a strategy to gain our rights.

“We don’t have to argue with anybody. We don’t have to curse and go around acting bad with our words. We don’t need any bricks and bottles. We don’t need any Molotov cocktails. We just need to go around to these stores, and to these massive industries in our country, and say, ‘God sent us by here, to say to you that you’re not treating his children right. And we’ve come by here to ask you to make the first item on your agenda fair treatment, where God’s children are concerned. Now, if you are not prepared to do that, we do have an agenda that we must follow. And our agenda calls for withdrawing economic support from you.’”

Many say that this call to unleash Black economic power was the “final straw” that motivated his assassination.

By unified spending our strongest leaders can speak with real power to the forces of white supremacy. It was the international boycott of the white supremacist leaders of South Africa that forced an end to apartheid and released freedom fighter Nelson Mandela from prison. It is that same economic pressure by the BDS Movement (standing for boycott, divestment, and sanction) that is now forcing Israel to change its policies toward the Palestinians. Latinos (and their sympathizers/supporters) offended by the recent statements of Donald Trump are boycotting the candidate and may have contributed to his present slip in the polls.

  • Jesus did it. When Jesus confronted the rabbis for their wicked misdeeds, the very first thing He did was to target the merchants. In all four gospels, Jesus expels the moneychangers from the Temple, accusing them of turning the Temple into a den of thieves through their commercial activities. In effect, He called for the BOYCOTT of those merchants, even though His argument was with the chief rabbis. Why didn’t He kick over the rabbi’s lectern? Why go after the merchants? Were not they there only by permission of the rabbis? Through that very violent action Jesus was warning us of a secret relationship that exists between the leaders and the money-makers, and by targeting the latter He knew He was hitting at the very heart of the oppressors.
  • Christmas is Rank Commercialism. Imagine you arrive at your own birthday party and some fat white man is sitting in the middle of the room getting all the attention, opening all your gifts. This is what Jesus watches every year—brought to him by the very people who claim to follow Him. And, of course, He wonders why the party is at least two months after His actual birthday. Jesus wasn’t born on or near December 25. Bethlehem is cold, wet, and rainy in December, so the shepherds in Luke 2:8 who were “living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night,” would have been out of their minds if they had kept their flocks outside at night at that time of year!

No, Santa, Mrs. Claus, the reindeer, the elves, Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman, and everything about them are a devious concoction created by merchants who have cynically supplanted Jesus for the sake of profits. So greedy are they that they have pushed up the shopping extravaganza they call Black Friday to what they call “Grey Thursday,” a day previously known as Thanksgiving.

The first white people in America outlawed Christmas. The Puritans complained it was “spent in Reveling, Dicing, Carding, Masking, and in all Licentious Liberty…by Mad Mirth, by long Eating, by hard Drinking, by lewd Gaming, by rude Reveling…”

More than two-thirds of the people on earth DO NOT celebrate Christmas at all. Of the two billion that do, most cultures consider it a holy remembrance of the Savior and spend it in prayer, fasting, and other forms of worship. The rank commercialism that now pervades an entire season is an American phenomenon. Needless to say, there is almost nothing about Christmas that Jesus would approve of or participate in.

  • God said BOYCOTT. The Bible outlaws Xmas. One may look no further than the King James Bible, Jeremiah 10:2-5, wherein God Himself denounces the pagan ritual of chopping down and decorating a tree and the worship of false idols—heathen traditions that have come to symbolize Christmas. Thus says the Lord:

Jeremiah 10:2-5: “Learn not the way of the nations, nor be dismayed at the signs of the heavens because the nations are dismayed at them, for the customs of the peoples are vanity. A tree from the forest is cut down and worked with an axe by the hands of a craftsman. They decorate it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so that it cannot move. Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field, and they cannot speak; they have to be carried, for they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, neither is it in them to do good.”

  • You Can’t Afford It. 15 million Americans say that when the Christmas season arrives, they still have not yet paid the debt from the last one. Each family carries an average credit card debt of $16,000; mortgage debt: $155,000; student loan debt: $32,000. The American public’s irresponsible, knee-jerk holiday money hemorrhage unduly inflates this burden on family finances. The amount spent on holiday purchases continues to grow, with each shopper now spending about $700 per person on gifts and seasonal items. Children claim a bulk of the holiday treasures at $403.26 spent on average, and studies of childrens’ letters to Santa show that guilt-driven parents give them more gifts than they actually ask for. The elves, reindeer, candy canes, and roasting chestnuts are manipulative, cynical fronts for money-grubbing merchants. After all, “He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress” (Hosea 12:7).
  • Nobody wants your gifts. A Yale University study estimated that $4 billion worth of Christmas gifts are wasted every year. The gift is not wanted and will not be used. It will be re-gifted, tossed into a closet or garage, or thrown away, adding immensely to American clutter and waste. Ch-ch-ch chia pets, battery-heated socks, fish-print ties, bacon-flavored toothpaste—all are part of an entire industry targeting impulsive shoppers, spending addicts, and shopaholics. It is behavior that is encouraged under the guise of “Christmas spirit.” From Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day, household waste increases by more than 25%. Food waste, shopping bags, packaging, wrapping paper, bows and ribbons all add up to an additional 1 million tons a week to our landfills. In the U.S., annual trash from gift-wrap and shopping bags totals 4 million tons. An estimated 6 billion holiday cards are sold each year in the United States, enough to fill a football field 10 stories high.
  • It is the perfect time to get control of our fleeing Black Dollars. According to the Urban League, a dollar circulates in Asian communities for a month, in Jewish communities approximately 20 days and white communities 17 days. How long does a dollar circulate in the Black community? 6 hours! Black American buying power is at $1.1 trillion, yet only 2 cents of every dollar Blacks spend in this country go to Black-owned businesses. Blacks make up more than 13% of the U.S. population, but only own 7% of the businesses. Of the 2 million Black businesses, only about 107,000 of them have actual employees. Such firms employ more than 920,000 people, with a total annual payroll of $23.9 billion. The other 1.9 million businesses cannot afford to hire employees—and all that is by devious design. Websites like com in Chicago and apps like BlackTradeCircle from BlackTradeLines seek to correct this distortion by compiling Black-owned business directories. These must be expanded to help give the Black, Latino, Native consumer more intelligent buying options.
  • Jews Boycott. Jews have NEVER celebrated Christmas, and they have never lied to their own children about any Santa, reindeer, or elves. Jews lead all ethnic groups in every economic category, and in many areas—as in media and in Hollywood and many other fields—Jews control those industries In history, when Jews were threatened by outside forces, they used economic boycotts to attack and overcome those forces. In 1933, Jews around the world boycotted German-made goods to weaken Hitler’s Nazi movement; and in 1927, Jews boycotted the Ford Motor Company after Henry Ford published unflattering comments about Jewish power.

  • The police said to Boycott. Movie director Quentin Tarrantino recently came to New York to stand up for the victims of police shootings. He was quoted as saying, “I’m a human being with a conscience. And if you believe there’s murder going on, then you need to rise up and stand up against it. I’m here to say I’m on the side of the murdered.” Immediately, white police organizations called for a boycott of Tarrantino’s December release The Hateful Eight. It is only Black people who REFUSE to apply the political strategy of economic boycotting to “redistribute the pain,” as Dr. King has said. There are only 1.1 million police in America, yet they believed they could be most effective against their “enemies” by withholding their movie dollars. There are 40 times that number of Blacks in America. A boycott of ANYTHING by Blacks will be successful.
  • Santa Claus is a lie. Jesus could not have been clearer about how to identify the devil: “When he lies, he speaks his mother tongue, because he is a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44). When told the truth about “Santa,” most children are not disappointed that he does not exist; rather, they are staggered and bewildered when for the first time they realize that their parents—particularly their mothers—have lied and will lie to them. Parents rationalize this with a quick lesson about “white lies” and “black lies,” and degrees of deceit, and lies that are sometimes acceptable and necessary, even fun! Santa breaks the bond of trust that parents have built with their children. And it is all to uphold a fantasy where our Black children are made to look to a benevolent white man with the power to “check his list to see who is naughty or nice,” for what they want and need. Fifty-seven percent of parents say they use the “Santa’s watching” threat. Children are taught to ignore the illogic of the Santa story, which prepares them to ignore the massive contradictions of the world they inhabit—as with the 9/11 false-flag attacks. Through Santa (via their own mothers and fathers) children become accustomed to accepting the major, gigantic lies that uphold the western world. Instead, thoughtful parents might inculcate this Christmas virtue: Up with Jesus, down with Santa.
  • Better deals are coming soon. According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, business inventories are bursting at the seams, and rising. TVs, computers, playstations, and toaster ovens are sitting on store shelves unbought and gathering dust. Fewer orders for manufacturers spell trouble for a teetering economy—especially one that upholds the murderous policing and incarceration policies against its own dark-skinned consumers. The unity of these consumers (Black, Latino, and Native, and people of goodwill) choosing to buy intelligently can force retail prices for these goods into a steep decline, where they can be bought in bulk at wholesale prices, thus giving us a huge savings and also supplying our Black-owned retailers, who have been purposely locked out of the wholesale market. All it takes is an intelligent consumer making strategic buying decisions as a cohesive group. The wolf always waits for the sheep to be separated from the flock before they go for the kill. Since slavery, that is how white merchants have viewed the Black consumer. After all, “Benjamin is a ravenous wolf; in the morning he devours the prey, in the evening he divides the plunder” (Genesis 49:27).
  • Starts discussion about Black Economics. One of the most deceptive manipulations that whites pulled on the Black civil rights movement is a strategy they called “non-economic liberalism.” That meant they would only help finance those Black leaders and organizations that advocated empowerment through voting and the courts—but never, ever economics. Most people don’t know that civil rights leaders Martin Luther King, Medgar Evers, Jesse Jackson, Randall Robinson, and others strongly advocated and even led economic boycotts, but the forces of white control and Black disunity, playing on negro fears and self-hatreds, often undermined those strategies.

“Jesus did it”. Jesus fought the system, he was a true revolutionary who did not need Rome! Are we ready separate from a nation that doesn’t serve us anything besides a full plate of injustice, and become a nation among ourselves that abide by the principles of Love, Truth, Peace, Freedom, & Justice? The time to decide is now! Let’s make the change in the present, so that history no longer repeats itself in our future.

Mr. Chang Addresses the concerns of Black people

A leader of one of Asia’s leading peoples in an interview addresses the current condition of black people, and why “blacks” are in their current position, and continue to hold the status they’ve held onto for years.

Asian Interviewer: “Can you address their concerns Mr.Chang?”

MR. CHANG: “The concerns of Black people? Yes I can. The fact is, that we all live under a system of White Supremacy. We Asian people look back at our long history of conflict with the European. We observe their strategies and develop our own, in response and in kind. There is no need for loud mass movements on our part, because we intend to overtake them in time, through action and personal sacrifice”.

Asian INTERVIEWER: “And the Black man?”

MR. CHANG: “He does not count into our situation. He is simply here. We do not hate the Black man. We just love the Asian man most. Real love–not cliche. We want to see Asian man happy, so we employ him. We eat together. We spend time with each other. We want his kids to be educated, so we invest in our own schools that offer our children the technical abilities to change the world’s power structure in our favor. We want to see the Asian man safe, so we purchase and organize our own communities. We want him to remain Asian, so we reduce the outside influence of others ideologies and cultures. While he fought to sniff behind the White man, the Black man has had the opportunity and every right in the world to do the same, but he chooses to indict people like me for not hiring him over my own brothers. For me to do this would be foolish and that would not be Asian love. In contrast, the Black man will fight for the right to be up under everyone else other than other Black people who he should feel the most love for. If our indifference to their situation make us racist, then what would you call the Black man’s indifference to his own situation?”

If everyone else can notice the cause for our disposition in society, why can’t we? We are the only race that has a problem with unity, but yet we believe we have rights to criticize and discuss the position and status of other races when we can’t even get our own correct. I do not believe that Mr.Chang was trying to “bash” or “slander” black people, I believe that this was simply another wake up call, and we have indeed received many.

Sandra Bland – Justice 4 Police once again

In the video below, Sandra Bland’s mother makes a statement regarding the case where no indictments were made on the death of Sandra Bland.

In case you’ve forgotten her name #SandraBland Meanwhile during the Steve Harvey hype.. ・・・

A grand jury will not indict anyone in connection with the death of Sandra Bland, who was found hanged in a Texas jail cell in July.
Five months after her death drew national protests, one of special prosecutors for the case, Darrell Jordan, told The Washington Post that the grand jury decided not to indict anyone, including staff at the Waller County Jail where Bland was held, in connection with her death.
The grand jury will reconvene in early January to “take up remaining issues,” Jordan said. He declined to comment on what those issues might be, because grand jury proceedings are secret. He also did not comment on what evidence led to Monday night’s outcome.
Bland was arrested during a traffic stop on July 10 that turned confrontational, and was found dead three days later. Her death was classified as a suicide by the county coroner, but family members and protesters around the country disputed that conclusion, alleging that she should not have been arrested and had been the victim of racism.
The announcement of the grand jury’s decision came just hours after Bland’s family criticized the handling of her case, which they said was not being thoroughly investigated by the Texas Rangers or properly presented by special prosecutors. “Right now the biggest problem I have is the entire process,” Bland’s mother, Geneva Reed-Veal, said at a press conference, according to the Chicago Tribune. “It’s the secrecy of it all.”

Did you know? They are still claiming that Sandra Bland hung herself. But do we expect the devil to have any chill?

Dearly beloved,

Are we ready to wake up? Or will we continue to allow these distractions to distraught to the point that we loose sight of the real issues at hand? Propaganda, they know how forgetful we are or can be, where this is a “major news story” happening every week that grasps the attention of the masses. The devil calls this the agenda for the drifters, the minds that wander from place to place and are unstable in concentration. We are the drifters. If the lack of justice for the slain Sandra Bland is the way we are ending 2015, what is to come in the new year?

It is time we resurrect.

Jesus is That You? The image of Christ revealed!

“God is white, and as long as God is white WE (white people) shall prevail over all other races.”

The quote above is from a movie titled “Goodbye Uncle Tom” which is a documentary film capturing in “graphic detail”, the racist ideology and degrading conditions that were faced by Africans during slavery. Although obviously staged, the film depicts actual events of what embodied slavery to be exactly what we know of it, the most horrific act of genocide to ever take place in humanity. Following the introduction of the movie which is a scene of a helicopter flying over a plantation as slaves watched in awe, is a scene of a group of white people eating and discussing their dominance as a race while being served by their slaves. It is in this scene, where an elder slave master says the quote above in a loud and proud manner. It makes sense because for it to be in the beginning too because, that one quote sets the stage for the oppression on not just blacks, but all other races who aren’t white. If we believe that the man who came to this world and performed miracles, who died for our sins, is a white man, well then how could we view white people as being anything else other than superior? It must be obvious that they are the chosen people right? My Christian friends… am I right?

From Sunday school to Sunday services, from the inside of our homes to as close as our front porch, we have been fed and taught as children to worship the likeliness and the Godliness of a Caucasian Jesus Christ. For many of us, we grew up with a nice sized picture frame of the Euro Christ in our Living rooms, or in the dining area for some, where he watched us all as we moved about! We were taught that he was our master and not only must we obey him, but we must dedicate our entire existence to him! If we didn’t obey, we will end up in a tormenting fire pit known as hell… Oooh! All praise the white Jesus or Else!

A good story is a good story, but bullshit has to be called out for what it is. First off, the first-century Hebrews from Judea were Levantine Middle Easterners according to a general scholarly consensus. The Christian scripture itself makes it very clear that Jesus was of Hebrew descent, it is also clear that he was born in the Middle East. Correct? So with this little bit of knowledge, how could the man known as Jesus be white?

Every tale has it’s origin…

Revelation 12:9 – And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

“When Pope Alexander VI held the office, Roman Catholic Church waged war against Islam. And Cesare Borgia was very instrumental. At the time, the Muslim hordes had successfully made their way northward into Germany. In addition, they conquered and controlled the Christian city and capital of the Byzantine Empire, Constantinople (Turkey). This threatened the very stronghold the papacy held over the Empire at the time. Unbeknownst to most, a major thorn in the papacy’s side was the fact that the image of the guy that held their religion together (i.e. Jesus) resembled the very people they were fighting; dark-skinned with African/Middle Eastern characteristics. The Christ was depicted this way in all the European religious art (i.e. carvings, paintings and sculptures). How could the Church sell the general population on the wickedness of the evil Muslim hordes when the Messiah they worshipped resembled the evil Muslim hordes?

Although the original Disciples who followed the Messiah were people of African descent who lived in African and Middle Eastern (East Africa) territories, the Catholic Church had won the War of Influence with Judaism. Ergo, Europeans had long taken control of the church and invented their version of the same thing. The “Disciples of the Messiah” were now “Followers of (the) Christ.” Pope Alexander VI devised a plan to have every image of the original Messiah destroyed. This meant the entire Vatican needed a makeover! Alexander VI commissioned Leonardo Di Vinci to recast Jesus in the image of his own beloved son Cesare Borgia.”

For those who were not aware of this history, “Wow!” Right. Yes, I know. But please, don’t be in a rush to mob the churches, for God said he will handle all of the deceivers.

Solomon 14:8 – But that which is made with hands is cursed, as well it, as he that made it: he, because he made it; and it, because, being corruptible, it was called god.

So what did Jesus look like?

I’m sure we are all familiar with the scripture in Revelations 1:14,15 – “His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.”

“It ain’t hard to tell”-Nas.

Throughout the ages, there have been many “Images” of Jesus proposed to the world. Our brother Jesus has really been an unspoken victim of a racial tug-of-war. Is he black? Is he white? The Christ is White! Jesus is Black! It is the most consistent argument throughout the ages. I really feel for this brother, he simply cannot rest in peace. Now here we are in 2015, and once again another image of Jesus has arrived, although, according to science, and what we know from the scriptures, this one seems to be a bit more accurate.

Let’s look at the story…

Richard Neave, who is a medical artist retired from The University of Manchester in England, has been working with a technique called forensic anthropology for about 20 years. He detailed the technique in the book Making Faces: Using Forensic And Archaeological Evidence, in which Neave is a co-author. Forensic Anthropology is a relatively new field that has arisen as technology has advanced, and it’s sort of like solving a puzzle. It’s often used to identify long-buried remains, as well as to shed new light on century-old crimes. In Neave’s case, he uses it to ascertain, as closely as possible, what ancient historical figures may have looked like. Over the past two decades, Neave has reconstructed dozens of famous faces, including Philip II of Macedonia, the father of Alexander the Great, and King Midas of Phrygia. Now this creation of an “accurate portrait” of Jesus, is just another tackle for Neave.

Neave, of course, didn’t have the actual remains of Jesus to work with, but he was able to obtain the skulls of three of Jesus’ contemporaries. Israeli archaeologists have uncovered remains of Semites from the Jerusalem region, dated back to the time of Christ. Neave borrowed three of the skulls and used computerized tomography to create thin X-ray slices that allowed him to study the smallest details of their structures. Specialized computer programs used information about the thickness of tissue on key areas of the human face to create muscles and skin over the digital images of the skulls, and additional specialized software was used to verify the results against anthropological data.

Next came 3D modeling. Using the data gathered from the three skulls, Neave and his team created a detailed 3D model, which they then used to build a clay cast of the skull. Features such as the nose, lips and eyelids were added by following the shape created by the underlying muscles.

With three well-preserved specimens from the time of Jesus in hand, Neave used computerized tomography to create X-ray “slices” of the skulls, thus revealing minute details about each one’s structure. Special computer programs then evaluated reams of information about known measurements of the thickness of soft tissue at key areas on human faces. This made it possible to re-create the muscles and skin overlying a representative Semite skull.

The entire process was accomplished using software that verified the results with anthropological data. From this data, the researchers built a digital 3D reconstruction of the face. Next, they created a cast of the skull. Layers of clay matching the thickness of facial tissues specified by the computer program were then applied, along with simulated skin. The nose, lips and eyelids were then modeled to follow the shape determined by the underlying muscles.

Since Jesus’ hair and coloring couldn’t be determined from the scans, Neave used drawings, dated back to the first century, that had been found at multiple archaeological sites to confirm that an Israeli man in Jesus’ time would have been dark-eyed and dark-skinned. Jewish custom of the time also indicates that he would have been bearded. Another departure from traditional depictions of Jesus came from the Bible itself: while he is typically shown with long hair, a Bible passage from Paul describes long hair on a man to be a “disgrace” – not exactly something Jesus’ most devoted disciple would have said about his master.

The tall, thin figure depicted in paintings is also likely inaccurate. Analysis of skeletal remains from the time indicate that Jesus would have been about 5″1′, 110 pounds, and fairly muscular due to his profession as a carpenter.

So, Ladies And Gentlemen, it is my honor to introduce to you, weighing in at 110 pounds, hailing from Bethlehem; He is known by many names, the Son of God, the Holy One, King of kings and Lord of lords! Jeeeesus Christ!!!

Or… is this Jesus?

I think I like option 1 better. Seems a bit more convincing.

So now, I want to know what you think. Have we achieved the image of the man we have believed to know as Jesus Christ? Has Richard Neave finally cracked the unbreakable code? Is Neave just another Caucasian who’s pulling one on us?Or is Jesus a true victim of identity crisis, and therefore we will never actually know what the “son of God” really looked like. I also will like to know, does it even matter? And if it does, for what purpose?

I am challenging your minds and am not stating my own beliefs! So…

Leave your thoughts in the comments below. And remember, when it comes to Christmas, celebrate the meaning, and not the ceremony.

Peace ✌🏾️
